Das Wilde Klingen

"Das Wilde Klingen" is a music theater ensemble that explores mythological themes and texts and interprets them in a contemporary manner. Sound, gesture, word and dance interact with one another to push the content forward. The instrumental and gestural improvisation is used to give narrative impulses, while the spoken word also becomes a possible device for improvisation. Aside from the search for aesthetic means, the group investigates and reveals political contents in the stories. It is dealing, for example with ecocide, the role of strong mythological or god-like women in plays or the mythological influences of immigrants from other cultures: the important question is which topics are still essential for social human interaction and the individual in general.
