Bishop Black

Bishop Black is a British artist who has been performing for seven years, initially in the medium of performance art, before shifting to drag and later burlesque. His main expression comes from the use of the body as language and as a politicized tool through sexuality and gender. Having worked the last few years within film, he now works mostly on stage creating unique but connected performances that utilize mythology, occultism, queerness and dance. Throughout the works created, the intention of mood through music and acting is seen as an underlying current that seeks progression and growth in unlocking that which could be seen as ridiculous, stimulating and aiming to unlock the repression one feels in their own bodies.
