WABE

With space for up to 400 guests, the WABE, located in the cultural area of the Ernst Thälmann Park, is largest communal venue in Pankow. The program focuses on music, ranging from rock to jazz to classical, events for children and senior citizens, from concerts to radio plays to theater productions and dances and dance performances. In addition, the WABE is increasingly available during the day as a conference center and rehearsal room. With the multi-functionality of the hall and the octagonal indentation in the middle, the WABE astonishes visitors with a wide range of artistic projects and actions; some 170 events each year are enjoyed by audiences from well beyond the boundaries of the district.
