Botanischer Volkspark

On a 34-hectare site that was once Berlin’s largest school garden, the Botanical Volkspark of Blankenfelde-Pankow showcases heritage-listed early 20th century architectural and garden artistry. Surrounded by precious natural forests and meadows, the park is Berlin’s gateway to the open landscape of the Barnim Nature Park (Naturpark Barnim) and continues the topography of the gently undulating cultivated landscape around the Barnim plateau, with its many small streams. Over its 100-year history the park has developed into a popular educational and recreational park and a place where everyone can experience gardening.
