A mother meets her four daughters many years after leaving East Germany together. Flashbacks are used to tell the great fear and great hopes with which they looked to their new beginnings in the west. They still struggle today with their ongoing attempts to bring their dreams and ideals of a better life into harmony with reality.

Stephan Thiel, born in Leipzig, completed his acting studies at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. After his permanent engagement he decided to work freelance, since 2003 he has been working as a freelance director. He has worked with stage and costume designer Halina Kratochwil for many years. For the realization of the Dushe material he composes a team consisting of five impressive players: Franziska Hoffmann, Meda Gheorghiu-Banciu, Anja Lechle, Nadine Nollau & Eléna Weiß.
