The community garden Allmende-Kontor on Tempelhofer Feld was founded over the course of pioneer projects on the former airfield through an initiative of 13 community garden activists, researchers and friends of urban gardening and urban agriculture.
The artist Yao Liao is sitting in the middle of all this greenery with his mushrooms. With By Mushrooms, he invites the audience to put themselves in the mushrooms’ place. Over the course of two weekends before the festival, he will collect voices that he will transform into an audio walk for the Performing Arts Festival. This audio walk will lead courageous audience members through the streets of the city as mushrooms from May 29 to 31, 2019. Wear a mushroom head, listen to a soundtrack and become a performance!
On the weekends of May 18/19 and May 25/26 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, an art action initiated by the artist Yao Liao will take place at the outpost on Tempelhofer Feld in the Allmende-Kontor community garden.
