With a great deal of authenticity, dark humor and live music, Nir de Volff’s dance solo deals with a man in Berlin caught in a midlife crisis. The male body performs in the spotlight, telling tales of experiences, memories, lovers, regrets, sorrow and lost time. In pursuit of the naked truth, he exposes his lack of physical and emotional comfort to the light of the outside, layer by layer.

TOTAL BRUTAL was officially grounded in Berlin 2007.The company has been working at Dock11 theater as a base and.The work has been seen across Germany and worldwide in important theaters. Between 2014 and 2017  TOTAL BRUTAL was guest at Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. In 2015 the work can be seen as well at Maxim GORKI theater in Berlin. De volff create international cultural exchange projects mixing social-political subjects with entertainment values. TOTAL BRUTAL is located on the edge of dance, but refuses to be categorized unambiguously.
