Self-playing music robots with lights and projects that are made visible on a sculptural level thanks to the fog from hazers. This volumetric light is creates digital landscapes through the colors and shapes of light. Interzone examines a variety of mechanical utopias from the myth of the golem to the fantastic apparatuses of Athanasius Kircher or Fritz Lang’s Metropolis. A retro-futuristic piece of music theater.

Event notes

The hall of the theater at the Delphi is barrier-free for people with motor and cognitive limitations.
Disabled parking spaces are available for wheelchair users, a designated entrance is steplessly accessible via a ramp, the other entrances are equipped with handrails via three steps. A disabled toilet is also available. We ask wheelchair users to register their visit before the performance at the following e-mail address. An accompanying person receives free admission.

Artists

gamut inc was founded in 2011 by computer musician Marion Wörle and composer Maciej Sledziecki to explore the interaction of electronic and instrumental music. The interdisciplinary ensemble consists of a growing number of autonomous music robots which are controlled by computer. Their focus lies in sonic textures and Gamut, Inc. has developed specialized software to control these machines live.
