Following DOLLS 1, a 24-hour solo performance of 24 major operas in Barbie format, now comes DOLLS 2, a performance-based reaction to the value of women and working conditions in cultural policy. Neoliberal outsourcing processes have led to a privatization of the income of all of the Dolls staff and the permanent rental of the house to the creative economy. Without a stage and without performers, DOLLS 2 is a performance-based post-apocalyptic vision of the future of cost- and profit-optimized art.
