What does the perfect woman* want and what does the audience want from her? Appollon combines the fin-de-siècle freak show with live art of the 1960s to realize a spectacle of physical virtuosity. With an aesthetic balancing act between an occult fitness studio, cyborg bullfighting and neoclassical ballet, Holzinger offers a new perspective on choreography and builds a bridge over the chasm between high art and entertainment.

Florentina Holzinger/CAMPO

Florentina Holzinger studied choreography at the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Her first solo piece Silk was awarded the Prix Jardin d’Europe at Impulstanz 2012. Collaborations with Vincent Riebeek such as Kein Applaus fuer Scheisse (2011), Spirit (2012) and Wellness brought international attention to their work. She is currently touring her work to performance festivals around Europe. Her most recent works were Schönheitsabend (2015) and Recovery (2015).
